Early in the last century, Thomas Edison (who is not generally remembered as a philanthropist) visited the Pacific Northwest. While in the Spokane area, he visited the Colville Indian Reservation.

Appalled by the destitution he witnessed there, Edison resolved to do something to improve the Indians' squalid living conditions.

Back home in New Jersey, Edison arranged to have electric lighting installed in all of the outhouses in the Indian village.

He thus became the first man in history to wire a head for a reservation.

Nope, never could get used to looking at speckled cords, but those plaid dresses might be alright. Not on me of course, if I tripped I might expose my thong :shock:

if you haven't met brad.....he's a great guy...but I would never picture him in a thong...much less a speedo!!!..... :lol:
