I'm writing you all about Lea’s successful surgery today. She went in for preop stuff at 6:30 AM and went to the surgery room an hour later. Two doctors worked on her and fortunately only had to do arthroscopic surgery though her gall bladder was enlarged and was infected from the stones. She came out of it looked around and made the statement… “What am I in, man hell?” upon seeing all 7 of the male staff looking down on her as she was woken up from the anesthesia. :argh2

We got home around mid day and she rested until 5PM when she had a light dinner and more pills. She will be in touch with everyone soon.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers… ;)

Man Hell.... that's funny. Of course we all know that place doesn't exist. And if it did we would all be riding rainbow colored Unicorns!

Give her our best wishes, and here's :argh2 to a speedy recovery!

Life is good and we're happy to hear she's all good.

Doug--Deleda and I are glad to hear Lea is home and doing well. Did she have a nice bouquet of flowers on the table when she came home?

I glad Lea's ENDOscopic surgery went well. Much less traumatic than the old fashioned way, just like ARTHOscopic surgery of joints is much traumatic and heals faster.

Too funny... that sounds exactly like something Lea would say. Give her a hug for us and let her know we're glad that's behind her and now it's time to start feeling better.

Nothing worse than getting sidelined like that. Sounds likes she's in good spirits though and our thoughts are with you both as she recovers.

(Clean up your messes Doug!)

thanks... will do...

Mowed the lawn, got flowers for the misses with some dark chocolate, cut down branches from a PITA tree (up to 20 ft up the tree), power washed 300 ft of driveway, repaired/filled some cracks too, watered veggies, picked some fresh tomatoes & banana peppers, chlorinated the pool, fed the dog, going to make wild coho salmon steaks for din din with fresh salad and rice. Life is good.

Tell Lea I'd like to talk to her about trading some embroidery graphics in the near future. I'm buying a new toy (errr... I mean tool) in the next week.

I'm looking for some embroidery graphics to get started with if she's interested. No hurry though... she needs to rest so be good. :)

My mom went through that same surgery a year ago. I am glad everything went well. Sounds like you got a lot done around the house while she rested

You wife won't miss her gall bladder- believe me because removing of it will just relieve his symptoms. The main function of gall bladder is storage of bile but many people don’t know that removing it does not stop the flow of bile directly into an intestine.
After your wife has her gall bladder removed, she will be started on clear liquids again, then full liquids and finally a regular diet. In future she should avoid too greasy and too spicy food because this food with red or black pepper may cause some discomfort for persons with gall bladder symptom (http://gallstones-gallbladder.blogspot.com/2010/06/patients-with-these-problems-are-common.html)s but not necessarily.
Whole grain cereals and breads, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables should be included in his daily menu.
