I didn't open it because they made the most serious mistake that can be made about Golf!

There is absolutely no doubt left as it is proofen to be invented by the Dutch!

I don't play cow pasture pool, but I thought the game was thought up by an Englishman or Scottsman. Roel, did the Dutch really invent golf and the other guys just copied the game?

Yes, they did and they know they did! There is too much proof of it. If you go into a musaeum where they have paintings of old Dutch masters you probablyrun into a painting where you will see people on the ice play the game. Thet were made about one hundred years before the play was mentioned for the first time in Scotland!. Also there are export bills of Dutch exporters in our Golden Age so between 1600-1700 that show a lively export of Golf balls made of leather to Scotland. The game played on the paintings and still is played over here is called KOLF Modern golf is a derrivate of it.

Even Starboard comes from the Dutch word Stuurboord. Yacht comes from our word Jacht and Dollar comes from our word Daalder, Yankee comes from the English calling us Jan Kees in those timeswhen we founded New Amsterdam to day known as New York! Your Santa Claus comes from our Sinter Klaas.
