View Full Version : New Pics of My Boat
I finally got around to taking some pictures of the mods I've done to Moondance, my 1989, 2858, Contessa, Command Bridge. Go to the Gallery: User Boats / Norton Rider's - Moondance - 2858 Command Bridge.
I still have to post pictures of the exterior, with new bottom paint and new painted stripes, as well as the custom salon table and custom dinghy motor bracket.

I've seen your hull paint job. That turned out spectacular. Looking forward to seeing some pics so everyone else can see how well it turned out.
Thanks, the credit goes to the Admiral for the choice of colors and Don Don at Mercer Marine (Dagmar's) for doing the work.

If you get some pictures posted, make sure you explain what they did. It looks really nice. Is that Awlgrip or epoxy?
The bottom paint is Bottomcote ACT in Gray. I'm not sure what he used for the stripes but I'll ask. I know he spent a long time matching the color to the existing painted stripe.

Hey Raul;
Was looking at your pics in the gallery (nice btw). What is that black riser going up to the Radar pedestal? Nice tall mount. Most folks don't take the time to get those up where they'll do more good.
I wanted a tall mount (24") for two reasons. Get better range, and keep the beam above the head of anymbody on the flybridge.
The black thing is a Mobri radar reflector. It does work. A friend and I tested on my inflatable. Without it the return he was getting was intermittent at best. With it, he had a pretty good return for a mile+.
They are normally clear, so you can see the aluminum reflector inside the tube but this one was old and yellowed. I painted it black so it would look better.
