Good news: Looking at the fish count going over the dam, it looks like the spring run has started in the Columbia River. The down side is that I am setting in France and there are not flights out of here. So the salmon are safe from me till someday when we get home. Linda has spent two days on the phone and the computer and it looks like we have a flight for Thursday that is if the planes are flying on Thursday. The up side is that we are at our son's home and we are plying with the grand kids. Which is a lot better than setting in an airport on a hard chair for a week, like some folks are. Save a few fish for me when and if we get home.

The last two weekends I spent on the River dock at Dagmar's, around sunset every night on the outgoing tide the river would come alive with small ones. They were surfacing all over the place, it was really something to watch. I could look down into the water and watch them swimming by. They should be back in 3 years?

Yes it could be a lot worse, but after three weeks plus how ever much longer it takes to get a flight out, it will be nice to get home. We have had a good time but there is a lot that is not getting done at home. I would like to get some spring salmon.
