ICOM 402 VHF

After doing some research for a replacement VHF for our boat, I ended up getting a deal through ebay on an ICOM 402 and the optional CommandMic to go with it. Mounted the main unit in the cabin and the CommandMic up top. Don't want to clutter the flybridge and this is a clean way to install. By buying both pieces, i not only have a VHF at both helms, but it can be used as an intercom. Wife definately liked that option as she kept using it.

Icom makes a great VHF and they have a local office in Bellevue if you ever need them. Ted :D

Ted...what do you have mounted to your antenna to hold those flags in your picture? I fly the IBNW burgee at the bow, but need to fly my Cougar Yacht Club burgee as well. :)

Electrical tie straps, but what I had flying there in the pic are very lite weight, so if you fly your cougie thing mount it half way down, it would be too heavy at the top of the antenna. Ted :D

they make clips that attach to your flag and then using spring action holds it to the antenna tops.....I fly the skull and crossbones on mine...no problem what so ever.....the flag has to be replace every few yrs....but what the hey!!.. :argh arrr

Tell me about the Cougar Yacht Club. Haven't heard of such an organization.

The Admiral bought a small crimson and gray custom made windsock that I fly from the top of my burgee staff. I fly the IBNW burgee lower on the staff. They look really good together. I like having the windsock on the staff because I can estimate wind speed.

I cut you some Cougar decals and some small "Crimson Pride" decals for Friday Harbor Sean. I didn't remember that Randy was a WSU kinda guy or I could've just given them to him. :(

I still have those crimson stickers. No one picked them up. Who was suppose to get them? Do I mail them to Randy? email me your address and I'll get them to you but it has to be before Monday (11 July) or you wait two weeks...

Chelan was good. I have been dealing with pinched nerve in back since last weekend so most of the time i was laying on my back! had a chance to visit chelan's clinic to get more drugs. Rained on us friday but the kids still had fun.
