Low easy hours, gear oil changed regularly. We only use it for crab season, which as we know, is just not that many days anymore.

I might be interested! I'm coming over on Sunday to look at another motor, but if it's a piece of junk I'll be giving you a call! Got any pictures?? Sunday we're staying at my sisters place in the Maple Valley. Hopefully we'll get out of here early enough to make it to the shop where the motor is before they close. If that doesn't work, then we'll get up early on Monday and go check it out. I just don't want to tow an 11 foot wide boat down to Fisheries and then on to Anacortes! It's pretty tight down there and I don't think they'd appreciate me plugging up the road, so we'll home base at my sisters place.

Are you anywhere in between Maple Valley and Anacortes?? I'll keep you posted!

It really has been babied. I have the original grip, the PVC handle lets me sit forward in the dink.

I have the exact same motor, only with a Nissan decal, for my inflatable. Great little motor. The only thing I don't like about mine is if I turn the engine to go in reverse, the psiser stream pees in the boat!!

I got mine out of storage last week. It would start but not run very long. Hmmm. Took the carb apart. The float swivel fingers were gunked up. I cleaned them with some lacquer thinner, put every thing together and it fired up on first pull. There is a small float drain screw on the bottom of the float bowl. Now whenever I store the engine, I'm going to drain the carb.

You'll like the little motor, it's dependable and easy starting.

Did you pay extra for the automatic warm water in reverse option or did it come as standard equipment? ;)

Thanks again for the motor! We used it a bunch the last 10 days. We did swap out the sheer pin. It was about 2/3 there so it would catch on the prop most of the time, but once in a while it just wouldn't go in. I changed the spark plug and it runs like a top! I did tear it down to look at the impellar and it seems to be in good shape, so I'll order a spare. We can almost plane the dinghy with it, but it's perfect at about 1/3 throttle and starts on the first pull! The wife gave it a thumbs up after the quick once over! It's an awesome little motor and weighing only 28 lbs is a nice plus! When you are sitting in the boat with the motor running you can hear the 2hp Honda's running quite a ways away because they are louder than this one! My son also took great pride volunteering to tow a dinghy in that had a 2 hp Honda that wouldn't start! It was either the drunk dinghy driver or out of fuel. Could have been both, but we thought the guy was going into the drink every time he tried to pull start it!

Thanks again!!

They are good little motors. Just be sure to drain the carb float bowl when you store it.

I'll run it dry prior to winter layup! Piece of cake to empty the fuel from the carb with the screw designed for that purpose. Then you give it a few pulls just to make sure!
