Hello All: I'm relatively new to boating and have mainly followed the Bayliner forum. This forum was mentioned to me there by Go Aweigh 2452 (thanks for that) so I've watched it a bit.

I was reading the thread about 32-38 Sedans where it was stated 'buy your first boat like it's your last' and I guess I've done that to a degree. Figured jump in with both feet and figure it out. I looked at 18 of the 32XX's in the Puget Sound area before getting a 3218 for my first boat last October. While all of these may be manfactured the same (mostly), they certainly aren't maintained the same. Haven't sunk her nor rammed anything so must be doing well enough. I've completely rebuilt the flybridge seating and got new interior upholstery. Rebuilt the radar arch and done a ton of mechanical things. It's been interesting and taken way more time than I anticipated but at least I'm getting to know the various systems in case something goes wrong. So far I only have questioned my decision when I have climb in between those engines.

Anyway I wanted to introduce myself and provide warning of the basic questions I'll be asking immediately. Thanks for your patience, Dean

Hey there Dean;

Welcome. Looking forward to hearing about some of your upgrades and adventures. Take lots of pics and don't be she about using the Blog feature here. It's a very easy way to let people see what you've done.

Welcome Dean,
You will find a very different style of forum here. I hope to learn from you and maybe I can help with some of your questions as well.

Hi Dean!!! Welcome to our corner of the Salish sea. You are in good company. We are small enough to know most everyone here but big enough to answer most questions. You'll be glad you registered and checked in. We have a few 32xx around here. Hope to meet/see you at one of our gatherings...

Thank you all for your comments. I look forward to better appreciating Pat's comments (Papa Charlie) of the differences of this forum compared to the BOC. By the way Pat, glad your relocation to the NW has worked out so well for you. Many of you seem to know each other very well which gives it a completely different feeling. I will give the blog feature a try. Given all the hours of work I'd like to be able to show it to people who might actually be able to appreciate it compared to most of my friends and family. Thanks again for the welcome, Dean

Dean,
Looking forward to seeing some of you projects. These days I spend most of my forum time over here. Besides these are people who boat in our back yard and can give you specific about this area and from a much more friendly approach.
If there is anything that a fellow 3218 owner can help you with let me know.
