View Full Version : Boaters' Friend in the Hospital
Those of you that shop at Boater's World in Everett may know Dale Hagen, the store manager. About two weeks ago he fell and cut or skinned his legs. Within a couple of days a fast moving infection required hospitalization. He underwent surgery and has been in intensive care ever since.
I believe Dale does not have any family in this area. Since he's in ICU, he can't receive calls from non-family members but he would probably appreciate a note or card from his friends:

I pray that he recovers soon.

I was there last Tuesday and asked about him, pretty much what you said Norton.
They said he came into work, the leg was all swollen and infected. Made him go down to the hospital immediately!
Poor guy just lost his brother a couple of months ago as well!
He is a really good guy - one of the few who knows what is going on in there!

Just an update- Dale's taken a turn for the worst. I was in last night talking to Troy and Dale is on a respirator and the prognosis is not good. They said his all about his will to live now :(
That's really bad news :(
Thanks for the update.

I Spoke to Dale today. He's out of ICU and starting therapy. He expects to be out in a week or so.

Very good!
Hopefully he managed to save all his appendages? Infections these days are nothing to mess around with. There are more and more virulent strains that resist treatment regimes. It go downhill so fast.
Good for him!
Dale said he came close to losing his life, not to mention his leg. The bacteria strain was very resistant to antibiotics and it was fast moving.

YEAH BABY! :blob2: Its about time something like that went better than expected!!! Live every day as though it was your last- it may be. Its amazing that any of us reach adulthood, let alone live to be a ripe old age.
