This is a freaking miracle. Anyone who is familiar with the landmarks mentioned in the article will have a hard time believing it...but it happened! She basically drifted from Sand Heads to Porlier Pass.

Must have been a helluva party for them to still be too impaired to talk to authorities after hitting land (literally) and finding out a shipmate is gone....
probably the alcohol that save her from hypothermia death....so everyone: keep drinking!

She's dang near a good man's dream girl....she wines 'n dines 'em...then runs the boat while the boys sleep it off...she'd be perfect if she hadn't fallen overboard...I'm surprised the boys forgot to cuff 'er to the wheel...hope she learns from this lesson...and never, ever fails in her mission again.

Sean- She knows all about me and my wicked ways and knows that I'm just kidding.
The last palce I'd want my Admiral is in the galley- just wait until you try her cooking!

well to fall off a sailboat indicates sshe must have been very tipsey herself. That boat has a high life line around it! They should have anchored... Glad she made it. I would not want to be her friends about now...

I'd be surprised if she didn't sue them. I wonder whose boat it was?

Sue her buddies? No grounds there. She was taking her turn on watch. Wasn't tethered in. Negligence is on her not her sleeping friends. They aren't too swift either but not sueable. I'm pretty sue about that.

They shoulld put a warning beacon on that boat. I don't want to be close for the next one. Someone is going to get hurt...

Apparently the keel bolts were damaged in the grounding that occurred after the lady fell overboard with her companions asleep below. Looks like they went sailing again without checking for damage

And the sad thing is, you can't see the dumb ones coming; you only get to see the results of their passing.
