Saw a reference to this site in Yachting or Soundings magazine... can't remember which. Called Active Captain, it is a crowd sourcing tool for Marina/anchorage reviews. It looks like a Yelp for boaters.

I use it a lot and they are now tied in with Navicharts and can display NOAA charts. Nice tool and you can not beat the price...
Any one not using it, should at least register and try it out. Great planning tool and seems like a lot of reliable info on Marina's around the US, etc.
Navicharts can be downloaded on to smart phones too. But it is around $19.99 I think...

They are also linked into Coastal Explorer from RosePoint. In fact, if you are looking to buy Costal Explorer they have a pretty good discount on their web site.

Hey - thanks for checking out ActiveCaptain.
I'm on my boat now and haven't seen the Yachting magazine article myself. What did it talk about?
Besides Navimatics Charts & Tides for iPhone/iPad, support is also in Rose Point's Coastal Explorer, and MaxSea Time Zero. Support has been announced by Furuno (chartplotters and radars), Nobeltec, and Nutiteq (Android). Another iPhone and Android product are on their way along with a couple of PC products. There's also an inexpensive PC, Mac, and Linux application that displays NOAA raster and vector charts, quilts them, does chart rotation/course up, routes, waypoints, etc and has full offline ActiveCaptain support. That should be out in just a couple of weeks. I've been running it all week on the Mac and PC and it's quite nice.
We have a pretty good collection of data for the PNW. Lot's of BC data too although we could always use more anchorages. For some reason, the Alaska data is lacking - we could use help there.
I'm happy to answer questions about ActiveCaptain. It's been a fun project - 1/26/2011 starts the 5th year it's been public.
