These are the type of posts usually SS blasts me for being private about , guess it is different for you! Ted

Not really Ted.

The difference is Sean was just trying to get my phone number to talk about bending pipe and charging batteries.

I'll recap for you though.

We talked about:

- bending tubing with a conduit bender
- using EMT conduit to pattern build
- his wife sewing sunbrella
- how to stow his 9.9 kicker
- my 18 horse carb clogging
- Weaver Leavers
- Weaver Arcs
- getting Boat US insurance
- ohms law
- charge and disharge rates
- ampere hours
- measuring amp load with a meter
- the title on my Carver
- his back surgery

I probably left a few things out... but I'll have him call you next time and we can set up a conference call next time.

The issue I have with your "Call Me" answers was like this.

Someone would ask "Anyone know what color the sky is?"

And you'd answer... "Call Me"

It sort of takes away from the whole idea of a forum. The idea is to stimulate conversation online... not take it offline. This was just a case of someone not being able to see all of the "Names, Addresses and Phone Numbers" (There's a glitch in there)

This week the sky has been Blue, next week looks like a good chance of more blue skies. Then I go on vacation, so clouds will be forming- jet stream will weaken, cold front will be moving in- and i will not give a ****, for at least the first 3 days :)

Brad,

Shame on you talking like that!!! It won't rain again until Oct! the seas will be flat and the only wind will be a light breeze in the aftenoon generated by all the heat during the day!

I am planning to get up to Oly tomorrow to finish removing the old lettering from the transom and hope to have the new name on the boat the first of the week.

Are you heading up North for your Vacation??

What now big guy my ego just too big for you, come on I'm just trying to have a lil fun. It has been too serious of late. But if you want me to go away just let me know! Ted

Tim, going to head to Desolation Sound next Friday. Seen 2 weeks of nice weather last year right before we left and it was shaky at the start of ours but finally got nice again after the first week.
you know how it goes, can't depend on the weather cooperating but praying it does. One of those trips that ya talk about for months and now it is right around the corner.

Nope. Don't want ya to go anywhere Ted. Just get off the "Is it pick on me week?" thing.

We're happy you're doing well selling boats, really... but here's something that's written on the wall in the Abraham Lincoln Chief's Mess:

"What gets a skunk killed... is the publicity it gives itself"

Mike I think you know military folks way better than you know salespeople, and yes we are scum sucking low lifes that love to brag about their successes just to make it perfectly clear for you, and yes I'm one of them! Ted

But trust me... the military is literally eaten up with brown-nosed butt kissers who love to ring their own bells. But in the end it all comes down to the quiet accomplishments of the few that get the job done.

To avoid blow ups in the future, I will PM instead of 'pinging' on the main board.

Lesson learned.

Lesson learned.

No lesson at all. If you want someone to call you... or need to get in touch with something... that's perfectly acceptable.

The difference... and what Ted and I have talked about in the past is where someone asks a question in a general sort of way like...

"Does anyone know how to fix a leaking widget gland?"

... and the answer is: "Call me."

That just leaves the rest of us in a lurch wondering what the solution was.

/hr

As a general rule... the "Names, Addresses and Phone Numbers" forum works well when you want to get in touch with someone. But since it's acting up (several pages cannot be seen), there's really no other way around it.

Does anybody know how to repack the bimini drive bearing on my boat? :D

Call Seapuppy...

07-21-2005, 03:41 PM
He won't know. He has one of them fancy 6.2 MPI-BIII drives; so his bimini bearings use a different grease.

Aren't those called bikini bearings?! Ted

I really don't think we need to be talking about what kind of grease Seapuppy is using to pack whatever into his bikini. :argh
