My Dad (reminded me) of a good story that he says is true...
My Dads friend (a cop) owns a retriever and the dog was always going over to the neighbors rabbit hutch checking it out. One day the cop comes home to find the dog with the rabbit on the back step. The rabbit is dead as a door nail. The cop is totally shocked... and decides to do something...
So he washes the rabbit and actually blow dries it and puts it back into the cage hoping the neighbor thinks the rabbit died of old age or something... he even smoothes out the dirt around the yard that the dog obviously dug up.
The women comes home and goes absolutely hysetrical, screaming throughout the neighborhood.
Apparently the rabbit died the day before and she had buried it in front of the rabbit hutch...
Due to extreme embrassment, to this day the cop has not fessed up....
