Last I heard from Harry it was setting at IMC waiting to be worked on. It had been over a week and they apparently hadn't drained the oil yet. They didn't think there was water in the pan.

it looks like a 2858 sitting there in Lopez (IMC) camera http://www.islandcam.com/fishermansbay.shtml

That sure looks like it. Got all the right covers on it at least.
I don't think Puget Mike would be doing himself any favors by towing it that far. That'd be pretty hard on a 454.

Well.. It didn't just materialize there. Just for the record, here's the distance Bob went to help out another boater... A fellow IBNW'er
He took the day off from work... Splashed his 2859 at Everett... Drove his truck and empty trailer by ferry to Lopez Island. Loaded up Harry's 2858 and brought it back over by ferry through Anacortes. 150 miles later... he splashed Harry's boat at Dagmars, so they could pick it out and get it back on the blocks. Then... he had to reverse all that and go back to Everett and pick his own boat up, haul it home and wash it down again.
I seem to remember some pretty heated arguments on the value of trailering a boat and all the money and fuel and money wasted on a big truck and ttrailer... versus being on the hard somewhere...
While I don't know the definitive answer in that debate;
I do know whats it's worth knowing someone like Bob who's willing to go through all of that to help someone out when asked.
Priceless...

Wow! You're some kind of friend, Bob. That is very impressive and very kind of you. Tell ya what, chief, I'm not going to believe any of the trash they said about you anymore! ;)
We all could use more friends like you. And Harry, I sure feel sorry for ya, bud, regarding your boat. Rats. Anytime ya wanna go for a ride here in Tacoma I'm you're guy. Uh, I didn't mean it that way. I meant a boat ride. Man, you guys have a dirty mind.
