My Boss should throw me out, all week I have been trying to figure out what I have to put on our boat yet for this Friday's departure,along with daydreaming. I have been reading post's on Boc about some of the NW boaters who are already in the Gulf islands and I have to tell you. There is nothing and I mean nothing that can come close to the feeling I have within that I get when I know I am taking off on a nice long cruise. It is like being a little kid again, full of excitement- sounds goofy, but I can't help it. I think sometimes my wife wants to slap me. I am down to counting hours now. I may need some good drugs to get me through the next couple days.

Good for you though... time away like this is really important and a quality vacation on a boat can't be beat for recharging your batteries at work.

Yes it is the time of year to own a boat, I was on mine in Poulsbo Sunday, on Monday nite over to Kingston for dinner, and last nite just dinked around out by Edmonds, then tied up to the EYC reciprocal dock. Anyone want to go out tonite, I got the gars and beer! Ted :D

Brad, go down to your boat immediately and check that it's not in any ferry lane. Oh, I forgot, BC Ferries don't go there - you'll be OK then. ;)

We're leaving for Mark Bay (Newcastle Island, Nanaimo) on Saturday morning early and should be there by mid day. Are you still planning on coming up to Nanaimo this weekend? Will you be anchoring out or in the harbour? Mark Bay is quite protected and has good holding. There are also Park docks on Nanaimo and it's cheaper but no water or power. Also, they will be busy as hell with the long weekend and all.

Kuredu, yes we will be there, I just left a reply on Boc to your Ferry game asking the same thing. We have reservations but not sure what time we will be arriving saturday - I know it will be later in the day. Mark Bay is an option if the docks look to crowded for me. We will certainly have a coolie and you can tell me how the heck you pronounce your name. I could also use some advice on a few destinations or travel hazards for the up coming week.

Kevin, what is the name of your boat so I can watch for you? We are heading over to Mainland Canada after Nanaimo for Chatterbox falls and possibly Desolation Sound.

SS, my boss has the same sh*t eating grin, we boat together. Now if I can just get him to cut me loose early Friday.

Brad my boats name is Triple play, and I am headed for Stewart on Saturday to get some crab, than head over Sunday and clear customs at bedwell. Sounds like you are going Straight up.

Kevin, we are going to be in Port Ludlow Friday Night then hope for a fog free day and head right up . We will clear customs in Bedwell first of course. It may be more of a run then I want but we are going to push hard first day so we can play in Nanaimo on Sunday.

Have a great trip up North! Just so you don't worry, I will be working on my boat (Wax On/Wax Off) Heck I am even enjoying it!! My time will come to cruise a little latter. (hopefully in September)

Got the Signage installed yesterday and it looks good!
