Mt Rainier

The wife an I just spent two day at Mt Rainier. The wild flowers were or are more beautiful that I can put words to. They are a month or two late this year, but they are there now. The flowers seem to cover everything between timber line to the rock and ice.

Beautiful. It is surprising that the bloom is so late in the year.

We went up to the mountain to see the fall colors and we found spring colors. All of the crops this year have been about a month late. Lets hope the winter comes a month late. I could still do some more summer.

My wife and I were at Paradise on 8/24/2011. There was still snow on the ground near the visitors center, and on some of the trails. The flowers had just-begun emerging.

On the same day a year-ago, the bloom was in full-force!
