A normal nite at the EYC reciprocal docks, no way! I thought I'd spend a simple evening on my boat at the EYC reciprocal docks, but no I was called into action as both an officer of the club deciding who would dock where, but more important as a boatguy selling boats. A 3888 motor yacht tied up to the gas dock and called 911 for his very sick wife who had to go to the hospital immediately. That meant I had to dock his boat into our reciprocal docks without a hitch. Oh ya what a nite to be there, I left at 10:00PM when all was settled and safe. Ted :D

Yup, just an average day for the Boatguy! SS I thought about it but I knew the guy had one eye on his wife and one eye on me the whole time I was docking. Before they left he did get my card since he doubted he would ever get her back on the boat again. :D

I was down at Swantown today working on an old Tolly,,,,,hear a big comotion and look at the guest dock, a couple of 45/47 Bboats leaving, then a 35 ( I think) with a big "Edmunds Yacht Club" banner across the stern.

Yes the boys from EYC were indeed down there this week and the 35' is the one I sold just last week to Jim England, he last had a 3058.
Now for the continuing saga at the EYC recip docks! Debi and I went down tonite for a short cruise and decided not to go out due to wind and white caps. Good thing we didn't! We were just leaving to go to dinner and saw a 32' Carver aftcabin coming in to raft onto a 40' sailboat that they knew. I tell Debi "this doesn't look good" sure enough he comes in clueless to the wind and if it wasn't for me and Debi and a couple others he would have crushed my Jaruba in half. I tell him to let go of the throttles and I would catch him against the baitshop floating dock, which luckly he does. Then we have him throw a stern and a bow line about twentyfive feet across to there buddy sailboaters and pull like heck the billboard sized boat over to the sailboat and tie her down.
Sometimes I'm amazed at how little people know on the water!
ps.The guy in the Bayliner 3888 left today on his way to Roche Harbor with his wife.
I think I'll move my boat out of there in the morning and put her back on land where it should be safe! GeeWizzers man!
