Hey KC,
There are probably as many procedures as boats but here is what I did/do that works for me.
I drain the hot water tank. There is a valve on the tank that will drain into the bilge. Then I disconnect the water line into the tank and the line out and join them with a section of garden hose. This takes the hot water tank out of the loop. (I didn't do this the first few years and went through a lot of RV antifreeze. The tank holds 6 gallons.) Then I drain the main water tank by running the water pump until the water quits coming out of the faucet. Then (thanks to SomeSailor) I use a shop vac to suck as much of the remaining water out of the lines and tank by using the fitting that Ts off of the water pump. Then I run RV pink antifreeze through the lines by putting the main tank pickup line into gallon jugs of antifreeze and let it run through the system until pink comes out of both faucets on the hot and cold side of each. Then I suck as much of the pink out of the system using the shop vac as I did before. That does the fresh water.
Don't forget to run some pink through the toilet, and any wash down systems the boat has or if you have an AC unit that uses water.
Ok guys let me have it what did I miss? ;)

I drain the system and the the water heater.... connect the two lines together and then connect the shop vac to the line and pull everything out. I run pink through the motor, and catch what I can in a bucket and pour that down the shower sump and the toilet bowl. The system has a tee fitting on the pressure side of the pump that'll let me get the last drops out. :)

I just drain everything, add pink to the black water tank... vacuum the bilge... golden rod engine bay and dehumidify cabin plus add fabric softener sheets to all cushions, open cabinets and hatches
as someone once said... air don't freeze...

And when it does you are not too concerned about the boat.

Well... since 'air' is a mixed gas, if it's frozen... our problems here are solved. :)

This has nothing to do with this other than the word water! At our Townhouse/Condo the water tastes like swamp water with a terrible after taste. My wife bought two BRITA sports bottles with a built in filter, and wala really good tasting water!
