Columbia Seals

A buddy of mine just reported that the seals are so bad near the dam that they are actually climbing the fish ladder and eating the fish in the
viewing tanks. He said it was on the Portland news !

Can something be done ?

A couple of years ago there was a seal problem at the locks to Lake Union. They transferred the seal to San Fransico and it found its way back three weeks later. I heard the indians took action and the seal suddenly dissappeared... :dontknow:

They showed the seal in the ladders this morning on Ch13, I swear he has a bullseye painted on his side... :argh

I understand DF&W can do something but worried about the reprocussions of killing a seal.

We need more foggy days on the Columbia. I once heard the fog seems to kill the seals.

And those bastards know how to bite a fish just up to the head so you reel in your hook and a fish head only :shock:
