Mike, thanks for pointing out the pencil zink on the underside of my fresh water heat exchange. I replaced it with a new $4 zink. The old was was long gone... BTW, no salt water dripped out so I am assuming the hoses are almost dry too. Hence should have no worries in case of freezing temps during winter...

Pencil zincs can go in less than a season, but for sure every season, and they are cheap and easy to replace.

Just keep that drainage in mind like we talked about. I'd bet you still have water in the system. At a minimum from the pump up to the heat exchanger and to the power steering heat exchanger which is still raw water cooled I assume?
You can make those pencil zincs last a bit longer by using a larger size than will fit through the hole. You need to install them through the inside (through access cover), but they do come in larger diameters (up to like 3/4-1").
You find those grease zircs yet?
