I added a couple of exterior shots of my boat. The bottom was recently stripped and repainted with gray paint and the original decal stripes were removed and painted on in blue. The work was done by Don-Don at Mercer Marine at Dagmar's.

nice looking additions...

I'd like to find someone that does the bow sprint out of starboard or something and re-fashion the bow rail like you have it.

My guess is that starboard by itself is not up to the task. An idea would be to use a commercially available anchor roller assembly, attach this to the bow, and "surround it with starboard. In this way the anchoring loads would be taken up by the roller assembly and not the starboard.

Lemme know when ya wanna start buildin' Doug. I've got bender for the tubing, the TIG for the stainless, mad fiberglass skills and work cheap :)

That pulpit isn't as easy as you think. Send an e-mail to TCKhan (Tony). He had one made for his 2452 a few years ago and then had a few more made for other BOC friends. Don't know if Shawn kept the jig for making those pulpits.

I tried to contact the maker of that pulpit (one of two of us that also wanted one built for our 2452) but never got a return phone call and we eventually lost the number. He did a real nice job and it looked awesome (he used starboard in it). Pegasis, if you have the number, I'd like to try again. thanks...

Nothing really cool is easy. Stainless can be tough to work with, but fun in the end. It's still just steel in the end. Bend it, shape it, weld it and buff it. If you got the right tools... its a piece of cake.

I believe the tough part was all of the angles for the bases.

The same guy that did Tony's pulpit did the bow rail on my Trophy. Don't have the number but will e-mail Tony.

I think Shawn is still in the Middle East on deployment in the reserves.

I've got a neat inclinometer that'll let you copy an angle in a jiffy. I've also got two pinset copiers that'll make quick work of saddle joints. I tell ya man... right tools make all the difference.

That's why God made Harbor Freight and Craftsman :)

One of the my greatest days and my Admirals worst day is when Harbor Freight opened in Everett :D
