Tacoma area for fishing

My son is going out with his Stepfather around the Tacoma area to fish this coming weekend, any comments on places for them to try?

Right around Point Defiance park, also across from the park at Delco point ( Vashon Island) some fish at mouth of Gig Harbor, others fish at mouth of river over at the port of Tacoma. When i did fish I used to do pretty good in front of the ol smelter that was removed or still in process.

Last week while coming back from Port Ludlow, there was a lot of activity at Dalco and off of Pt. Defiance. I think the seals were getting most of the fish though?

I stopped for fuel at Zittels and there were photos at the gas shack of several salmon taken off of Henderson bay to the North.

I plan on trying for a little silver side tomorrow.
