Have a neighbor who has logtruck, his bill last month was $5K.....that's up about $2500 from a few months back ??? 15.00$$$ for the lawnmower last night. Had a guy bring in a little S10 Chev this weekend, gas tank sprung a leak....3 fillups now equal nearly the price of the replacement tank.
We bought a Nissan 200SX ("96) a while back for $1500 , the prospect of turning in into a rally car. Admiral decided it was too nice to trash :( so she kept it for a work car. Silly thing gets 39-41mpg regularly, 115 hp, power everything, and WAAYYYY bigger than a Metro.
Our fuel bill on vacation was only about $400, Ed's was $700, same miles and speed. Our old 34 Tolly would have been $1500 or more.
The gas will seem trivial once the trickle down adjustment hits everyone, all the increased freight charges, manufacturing costs, fuel costs all borne by the end consumer. I imagine it won't be long before the USPS has to make some adustments, back to the days of ponies...nearly everything we use or own is made from petro, shipped with petro or made by someone who relies on petro for some part of the process. We better be keeping Iraq, there is some extra room on the Gaza Strip, we can move the Iraqis there.....

I need to take up fishing again, I can go out, shut motors off and drift. Until I get to the Gig Harbor area then throw the downriggers out for troll back.
My partner who boated with us for the 2 weeks we were on vacation has figured he spent 3,600 in fuel. That just does not seem right.
Yikes.
