gas tank vent

I have a clogged gas tank vent and I want to remove the outter silver and black vent cover and use my air hose to blow out the clog from the gas tank side. Anyone know how the vent cover is attached? Do I just pry it off or does it screw off? thanks...

Doug, it should have a lock ring (nut) that screws on from the inside. Look at the style then look for the same style at a marine store, then you'll see the configuration.

Thanks Mike. I was able to remove the hose from the vent and saw the screen was clogged up with corrosion. I blew it out with 130psi air and put it back together. Took a few mins due to the weird angle I had to contort my body to access it. I'll pay for that in the AM. :lol:
