Livingston Dingy?

I don't want to cover up your beautiful work on the transom, but it's time to put the dingy back on the step. I am presently using a 7' Livingston. What are other folks doing to add the name onto the bottom of a twin hulled dingy? I am a little concerned that we just slap it on there, the first beaching will cut gashes through the middle of the name. Any ideas?

Keep it between the hulls and it should be OK. I thought about getting a nice piece of white plastic sign board (not starboard) and affixing it with ScotchLok fasteners. They will stay put and then when you deploy the dinghy, just remove the nameoff the bottom.

If done properly it would look really nice as well.

I had a vinyl name on my sorensen dink and never had a problem.
