Well my sons and I went out fishing for Coho on Sunday, September 11th from 7:00 am till about 2:00 pm with no luck. We were first at shipwreck then moved on to Point no Point. We tried green glow flashers with green /white glow squid, coyote spoons and bucktails and all we brought in was a flat ribbon seaweed / grass. At shipwreck, the grass was all over our downriggers and flashers even though we stayed up about 50 feet from the bottom (sonar said the fish were about 50' from bottom).

At Point no Point we marked lots of fish and got a great bite which popped the line off the downrigger, but the fish or what ever it was got off.

The only good thing was that coming back in from Point no Point, I rounded the corner of Possession and see a Trophy with 4 engines! There he is the infamous Spud!

Anyway, Spud and I had a great talk. Spud said that he caught a couple silvers and a few pinks on Saturday. He also said, "Well, I gonna catch me a nice silver right here" (Possession) You know Spud, he probably did!

We then headed back to Everett with no fish, but I had a great time with the boys.

if it were easy, they'd call it catching... at least you got time with the boys...

I remember doing just that with my dad and a few times with my grandpa... what great memories...... you done good!!! despite no fish...

It was great to see you out on the water Tony. Your boat looks great.

I have been fishing Lagoon Point (near PT Townsend) and doing pretty well. It is a bit of a drive but I have been catching so its hard to change. Talked my buddy in Port Townsend to get rid of his (now blown) Mercurys and put on a pair of 140 4-stroke Suzukis.

Didn't do well at all on the Sunday troll. I trolled from Possession to
the Shipwreck to the Ferry. ZILCH. Was ver relaxing on flat water though. :)

Can't wait for the Everett Derby ! PRE-FISH PRE-FISH PRE-FISH ! :)

There were some big Kings in that area though. We brought several REALLY nice ones to the back of the boat last weekend. One was 23+ lb and the other a little smaller.

I called the Marina on Friday morning at 9 am and asked if anyone was in the reciprocals. They said ALL the docks were filled with derby entrants. Stayed in Everett but drove to Edmonds on Friday nite to
help set up for the derby. She was right.....but I saw no burgees and didn't know the yacht club had so many fishing boats in the club. I think some just borrowed member names to get the recip space. No biggee for me though as Everett is only 15 minutes away on the Fishtale !

Back on the water tomorrow ! BUSH POINT AT HIGH TIDE !! :P

Spud - Sorry off topic - What is your thoughts on moving to the 12th street marina?

We are swayin towards stayin.

When I loaded up the boat in the pouring rain on Friday I was totally dry.
I thought to myself, what a wet mess this would be if I had to get her ready in a cold soggy downpour.

Still thinkin !
