Absolutely gorgeous day today on the water. It was like a mirro most of the time. Fished Allen bank N of Vasion, only flounder...
went in to Yukon harbor and nothing. About 7 noats were also fishing but in deeper water. I was at 100-160 and got a nice silver at 90'. Also got a nice 3 ft stick that was a chore to bring up till it broke the surface. Thought I had a sand shark... Knew it was not a salmon unless it was dead... Unfortunately, no pix... had the camera but no disk! Just have to ask the witness about it

definitely not a Safeway fish!! Bet it was tasty??? I tried a different recipe this evening for the silver... coated the meat side in thick coconut milk and added a very light and dry Japanese breading made out of rice and honey. Tasted just fine.
We ought to have a recipe thread for all our favorites... steaks, fish, etc... Admirals would probably like it too. I know I would...

I like that idea about the recipe thread for the fish side of it. i do not eat enough fish and my Doc said I better start and stay away from the red meat. So far I have not and I need to start thinking of my health.
I once tasted a salmon with a cinnamon glaze- cooked at a restaurant in kirkland- oh my gosh was it good. Thing is I am not a big fish eater, but I could have ate that at least 3 times a week.
By the way , nice catch.

He's filleted, steaked, vacuum packed and in the freezer already :)
