Here you go a very clean 2858 with low hours and a 7.4MPI!

looks like the guy only drilled a couple of holes total? upper helm have anything added?
why is "beverage holder" the #1 item on the list for helm stuff? OK, only kidding, looks real nice.

That looks clean !! For years Bayliner touted a "teak magazine rack" in the brochures, now it's beverage holders. Newsweek or Budweiser, hmmm, hard decision.... :P

That's sort of at the top end for price on a 2000 2858 isn't it?
Stuart was offering his to me at $51,000, and that included Radar and the sat tv rig. I'd still kill myself eventually on a 2858... too easy to faceplant off that ladder while fishing :D

Gene,
News week of course! After reading you can make it soluble by adding water drink it and for sure you will not taste the difference!
Budweiser the beer that made Milwaukee famous, Heineken the beer that made Milwaukee jealous!

Roel, you just won the "smartass of the year " award !!!   Most excellent comeback !
I thought the price was a little high also. Years ago Olympic just moved the used stuff out at bargain prices. Now they've figured out they can hold out for more money because of the financing leverage. There are 3 types of consumers...payment buyers , most common...difference buyer, many times can be switched to payments and the outright bottom line buyer..kind of rare. With longer terms you can get the payment buyer to pay more . They can take a trade,,and have to allow for that in the initial pricing also.
Sundance ( Carver) is considerably higher than Olympic though. I've seen some boats at Sundance for 3 years....pretty well unheard of at Olympic. Ted will get her sold though, how much is an "05 ?

Yeah... got pretty close to buying Stuarts old 2858, but decided it wouldn't fit my needs well. It had the 454 as well and he was down to $51K for me, but I would've needed another $6K for the trailer and yada yada.
Bottom line is the 58 doesn't suit us for fishing and back and forth from helm to stern. I'd eventually do a header and break my neck chasing a strike on a fishin' pole. :(

Not that I have to defend myself with you uneducated turkies, but this is a consignment boat and the customer sets their own prices. Actually $60K is what these loaded year 2000 2858 are selling at. I posted this for those interested in a great boat, not to get grilled on value or prices.

Yeah but THIS boat, the only "loaded" is the beverage holders... I did not see anything "loaded" in the write up or the pictures to show that it is "loaded" (except the price). The owner sure is proud of it though... otherwise, it would be a bit less but that is MY opinion only... :argh

Hey Ted...question for you on the design of the 28's. Why did Bayliner do away with the 'doorway' that closes off the v-berth? Our 85 has it and wife is going to make me find the same setup when we upsize. The new ones are too open in our opinion. Just wondering what they were thinking?

Not trying to grill ya Ted... It's just not the best price I've heard of is all. You remember Stuart's 2000 2858? He was ready to go at $51,000 with me. He sold it for $56,000 at Hayden Island in Oregon.
NADA show a baseline 2858 resale at $35,350-$42,600
There's a really nice (freshwater) 2002 2858 in Coeur d'Alene for 57,995
