My BIL, sent this pic of his catch for the day on Long Island. Stripers fight pretty good. They are a bit oily but I enjoy eating them. http://www.iboatnw.com/gallery/data/media/12/DSCN0837.JPG

you are right about that. Even the fluke and flounder on the east side are huge... compared to here. minimum this year is either 22" or 24" I think. But they don't have halibut like we do... and Atlantic cod are loaded with worms if caught in warmish water... But the blue fish are awesome. VERY aggressive and boy can they make the water "boil"... so it depends on what you are in to. I like to go back to fish but like to live here for now... till the Admiral kicks my butt someplace else. But it has to be salt water...
