anyone catch the latest book being touted but hanoi jane??....my life so far!!!.....I have several comments that can't be placed here....but she shouldn't be allowed to make on thin dime off of this book.....I can't see what publisher with an ounce of decency would print her garbage....just my two braincells firing off again...... :argh arrr

I did watch her on 60 Minutes the other night. She apologized for the things she did in Viet Nam and regrets the poor decisions she made in her youth. That was a step in the right direction I suppose.

I am mixed at her...I would have liked to seen the 60 minutes show that had her on it to see her appologize....but then for what she did I still feel is inexcusable.......even traitorous by definition......maybe I'm getting soft in my old age...I don't know....but still......her and the walkers fall in the same catagory of slime......I saw a history channel special on cia spying and the did a whole hr of the walkers...... :argh arrrrrr

I know what you mean Steve... but hey... we just had the 2nd place finisher in the Presidential race who was filmed throwing his Congressionally awarded decorations over the White House fence... and then defended himself by saying "hey... I lied... I didn't throw MY actual medals away..."

I guess a lot of people did a LOT of things they now regret. :(

...and a first place finisher that .....woops I guess that should move below the water line....

But anyway: Mr. Pup. with all those strong opinions about the book and its content you should make a point of reading it first. and if you hate Jane based on activity over 30 years ago, maybe you should read the book. (you can get it at the library and not be giving her one thin dime...) and if you read the book then you can have either fresh anamosity, or maybe a different perspective filtered through your experiences, and maturing over the past 35 years..

(I have not read the book, but did listen to about 30 minutes of an interview part of which covered the vietnam era and it was quite interesting....might not change your mind one bit but it was interesting)
