Help. It turns out that I have been remiss in changing the Registration number on our hull. Apparently when we bought the boat, the State changed the last two letters - I never noticed. While doing a VSC this weekend, the examiner did! I now need to change the two from "NI" to "RS" but would rather not change out the entire series and need to match a distinctive but unknown font.

They are in jet black - gloss vinyl and for scale reference the "N" is 3-1/8" Tall and 2-7/8" Wide. A perfect match may or may not be possible, but close counts.
Thanks,

Looks like Broadway... but there is a very simple way to get and exact match. Take a piece of paper and hold it over the existing letters. Use a pencil to rub a "trace" of it, and drop it in the mail to me. It'll cost ya a stamp to get it to me... but it'll be an exact match. Easier than removing them all too. :)

Great idea - it sounds like a plan. Sorry for the poor photo, but I did not have my camera with me yesterday, so I had to work off an existing shot. I never throught about a rubbing - I will be down there tomorrow and can certainly do that!

Its low-tech... but its the surest way to get them right :)

I'll keep an eye out for them in the mail.

Thank you - those are perfect. It took a bit of work to get the old letters off (stickers), but once cleaned up your letters went on in a snap.

I owe you!
