New Boat sales

Ted- Just curious if you are seeing any effect on sales due these gas prices?
One of my customers just down sized from a 27' Sun Dancer w/twins to a 22' Rinker single. Said didn't want to spend that much for fuel.

I'm sure that there are folks that are effected by the price of fuel, but when you think about it I never get to know those folks cause they simply do not come in. Personally I'm ahead of last year and thats about all I care about. Oh crap someone out there is going to think that is a terrible think to say, damn sales guys, so self centered! HaHa I'm kiilling me. How are you doing in the land of insurance? Ted :lol: :D :P

Glad to here that Ted. We are ahead as well. Still amazes us that so many of our clients come over because of bad customer service. You would think that in this day keeping your customers happy would priority #1- Looks like the roof stays and we can eat this year :D
Helps that we are not taking any rate increases and our pricing is completive!
When we do the math at the end of the year boating for us is still the best value for entertainment $ no matter what the fuel cost are. Just need to get more boating time in this year

I tell potential customers "Its the most expensive fun you will ever have". Our prices have stayed pretty constant here too, my customer loyalty has stayed even more constant in spite of myself! There I go again killing myself with laughter! Take care buddy! Ted :D

Despite of gas at $ 7 boat sales at my Marina, biggest dealer in Europe are unbelievable! The owner said: ' Roel I only can sell you a 2006 325". All 4 he could get are sold! And they go for $ 188,000 over here with the 300 hp mpi.
Wife still wants one but as long he hasn't sold our 2352 I think I am not in the driver seat to negociate the way I like.

Roel, just so that you will know our next Bayliner 325 will not be available until June of 2005 and we are the largest seller of Bayliners in the whole world. That boat is really taking off everywhere! I bet the price will go up soon, ya think?! Ted :D
