I've been having problems with the last reminents of the Aurora spyware and went into my registry to locate what loads up on startup. Seems I got it all except for a dll that loads up every time I turn on the computer. Long story short, I found this website; http://www.processlibrary.com/ and once there, you can look up specific registry enters in your puter. First you need to look inside your registry.

Start button then "Run" type "regedit" and enter. Once you open this then go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run

This is where all the start items are located that are not visible in your "Startup" folder (the one located by hitting the Start button and then "All Programs").

Anyway, do a directory search (tab at top of the page) to see if the item that loads up is good or spyware or what have you... if it is not listed, leave it alone and or post on the forum at that site and ask. Anyway, I was able to load my puter faster now that the 40+ processors are deleted down to 16...

Sounds like something I need to do on a rainy day. I have down loaded spybot and it removed all but 3 , said the others were in a memory. Well a week later I run this program again and I have 62 more intrusions- actually the same crap as before. It gets better when I run it for around 5 days then gets slower. Then once in a while I will see some icon on my desk top that has to do with a gambling site ( boy of all my hang ups , gambling is the one thing I do not do) so anyway , thank you for the info- I am not that good at the computer but have learned allot from these boat sites and my typing is improving along with it. Maybe spelling will catch up one day :)
