Hi everyone!

My friends and I are going out for some lake washington fishin next saturday. I'd really love to go for some salmon, but it does'nt sound like there would be much point, as I the rivers seam like a better option for that. But how about some Bass? Anyone catch any? With what? Where?

I used to fish a lot when I was younger with my dad, but since kinda fell out of it since then. But thanks to our new boat, I am looking forward to the wide world of fishing! Glad to be back! But I don't know the best places to go anymore, any sugestions?

All ideas greatfully received!

Bass don't like the cold much so they will be deep and lathargic.

I would use spinners/worm and rapalas and troll the bridges 30-60 deep.
The bait likes to hide under the bridges. I have caught some nice rainbows using this technique.

Good luck,

Spud

good idea thanks! hey, Can I just troll with my inboard engine in basic forward? or do I have to have a kicker plate, or a little trolling motor for that? thanks!

You will want to fish at 1.5 to 2mph. Tie on a 5 gal bucket to the transom to slow you if needed. DipsyDiver or banana lead will get you down. You may be able to find the thermocline using your fishfinder. Fish just below that depth.

Good luck,

You might also run across a nice cutthroat with that technique....
