Last night I attended a small meeting with Mike McGavick, a fund raiser yes, but a real chance to hear his ideas. I had met Mike before, during his time as head of Safeco. He is a real bottom line guy, not a tax & spend type and one who honestly believes in creating cooperation. As the former right hand to Slade Gorton, he is a D.C. insider, so he will be effective from the start. He is worth your time to hear him out, then you make your own decision.

I saw him on TV with Dino Rossi. Sounds like a stand-up guy. He's generating nothing but good press too.

Both Cantwell and Murray need to be put out to pasture. They are the most worthless senators our state has had in the last 40 years. Scoop had more knowledge of US government and foreign policy under his little finger nail than C & M have in both their craniums. Even though Maggie was a drunk, he sure knew how to bring home the bacon. :D

Well, I hate to admit it (Gene smiling right now) but I voted for Murray the first time she ran and the same with Cantwell. They did not stay true to their word of reform and did nothing that they ran on. After seeing that all they did was mimick Clinton on every vote/issue, I got ticked and have not voted for either one since. I want someone that does not vote party line all the time and can actually think for themselves... AND listen to the public which elected them....

Bills lap was kind of busy at the time. Probably hard to sort 'em out.

I kinda thought Murray would be ok, never had much of an opinion on Cantwell. Someone realy ought to kick the Rep party in Washington for supporting some pretty lame candidates over the last 20 years though. I'm beginning to think the Dems biggest supporter is the Republican party in Wash... Although on a national level Gore and Kerry pretty well evened the score
