Can you say, Repeat of 4th of July?

We decorated the boat, limited in lights to my current 500w geny. Ran fine though mounted to the pulpit. Tooled around in front of the marina until boats headed down to Mukilteo. Guess it was to coincide with the City of Mukilteo's tree lighting. We hear on the radio they want everyone to blow horns. Then supposed to see a tree up on hill. Then nobody could see the tree. "...brought to you by the same 4th of July committee..." was the last thing heard before heading back to Everett. Nothing like the Seattle/Argosy Xmas ships. Never could figure out who was leading. Definately doing next year with additional power and waaay more lights.

On our way to Mukilteo ran out of gas in Gen. We could hear it start to go, then it went. I took the gas can up in dark to fill up and then realized i had the pull start cord facing away from boat! Was able to get it full without falling in an off we went. One boat was nice enough to come by and make sure it was just the Gen that ran out of fuel.

One last note...this is the first trip we have gone out without any outdrive problems. Hopefully the new transom assembly has cured our problems.

Well congrats on the successful boat Trip. Nice when you leave and come back under your own power! :)

Sounds like you and your family had fun and running out of gas on the genny could have happened to anyone.

Glad to hear she's finally running more reliably for ya. All that work you're putting into her will pay dividends this summer for sure.

Thanks guys. It was definately a relief to leave and return under own power. :D Now I can focus my money towards toys and not repairs. :)

Couldn't see the tree even with the beer goggles? I think the reason the cruise is, or gets so ragged because, EVERYONE IS WASTED! EYC is like an Alcohol club with boats. Thats why I fit in so well... :drunken:

EYC is like an Alcohol club with boats.

 Geeze..thats not a pretty picture! ...is that part of the club charter or just a culture type of thing? ;)

I belong to the Navy Yacht Club Everett. Average age is prolly 75+. I don't think it's alcohol, but Geritol rush.

Aw lets face it- its a WET world out there! This message brought to you by Anhouser Busch...Boaters are a partying bunch everywhere! Nothing wrong with that IMHO. Its much easier to keep it between the lines out on the water. In 03 hardly anybody formed up good stayed tight etc much to the cruise directors dismay. Still cool though! At the gathering afterwords is when i heard for the first time "my problem is too much hemoglobin in my alcohol system" from an attendee. Got a kick out of that. :D My old p.e. teacher from high school is an officer of EYC, Jerry Simicich. Hi Jerry if your out there, please dont make me run around the rock again, Im old now...

I won't post the picture of our guest at the wheel with a bottle of Rum in one hand and the other on the wheel! :) Guess we fit the bill.

Even though the parade seemed a bit unorganized, it was still a fun experience and we are planning on doing it again next year. Nothing like cruising in the pitch black and seeing a reindeer coming up from behind or seeing Santa hanging from a bosun's chair.
