I plan to take photos of my progress in changing out all six sets of trailer bearings and pass on what I have learned (IE. shortcuts) to anyone that wants to tackle the same job.

First off, my trailer currently uses the red grease available at West Marine. It use to use the blueish grease which I now wish I had kept. I did a complete cleaning of the old blueish to red thinking it may be a better product after all, it was more expensive and I had many many tubes of it laying around... ...

After getting all the canvas work finished, I've been giving thought to locating a used commercial sewing machine to do some other cool stuff around the boat like privacy curtains, equipment covers, shrouds, fender covers and the likes.

A few months back I had emailed back and forth with a guy that had a really cool Pfaff 545 walking foot machine for sale. He had upgraded it to an Electronic DC Servo motor which gives it crazy torque and adjustable speeds that are incredibly low and ...

I can't say enough good things about the experience I've had with Churchill Brothers Canvas. Tony has taken EXCELLENT care of my needs and did a GREAT job with out new canvas. Everythings was custom and done exactly as we requested and the workmanship was phenominal. A true craftsman product.

Old rusty the the cast iron 3 speed cruise o matic transmision has been back from the shop now for a few days, but i had'nt had a chance till now to get these pictures up. After tear down the cruise o needed fwd clutches all the rubber, o-rings, seals etc.. and it also has a new torque converter.
It will be ready to mate it up to the motor and get it dropped in soon.

Spent the day helping Erik (Playin Hookie II) get the dirty work done changing his swivel shaft. He was getting water into the bilge through the upper swivel shaft and needed to get that swapped out. Here are a couple pics of the fun. Nothing like cutting a hole in the back of your boat big enough to get your favorite 1 1/16" wrench in.
